Being beautiful is an innate desire of every girl. To pursue the modern standards of beauty, many girls happily endure the "torture" of the "devilish" Pamela and beautiful ballet routines, all for the sake of achieving a slim waist, right-angle shoulders, and vest lines...

For most girls, due to discomfort during their menstrual period, they would stop exercising. However, a lucky few do not suffer from menstrual cramps or experience only mild symptoms. Some even manage to alleviate the discomfort of menstrual cramps with the help of painkillers. So, can they exercise during their period?
Can you exercise if you are not have severe dysmenorrhea?
Whether you can exercise during your period mainly depends on your body's condition. If you feel that your physical state is good, then you can engage in activities that are of low intensity, mild, and gentle.

However, it's important to note that even if some women do not experience any physical discomfort during their period and feel that their physical condition is the same as usual, they should not engage in vigorous exercise.
Vigorous exercise could trigger dysmenorrhea. Strength exercises that increase abdominal pressure can cause menstrual disorders, such as excessive menstruation or prolonged periods. High-intensity exercise could even increase the risk of endometriosis. Therefore, don't focus solely on losing weight or body shaping; prioritize health and safety first.

However, it is not recommended to avoid exercise altogether. Taking a leisurely walk in the cool evening breeze, with the afterglow of the sunset, can not only relax your mood but also alleviate physical discomfort. Walking and other simple physical activities can promote blood circulation, thereby reducing lower abdominal heaviness and pain during menstruation. They can also help adjust the brain's processes of excitement and inhibition, distract attention, maintain a pleasant mood, and reduce menstrual tension and irritability.
In summary, both extremes of vigorous exercise and not exercising at all during menstruation are incorrect. Therefore, based on your menstrual condition, engage in appropriate exercise.
